Referral Rock integrates with Google Analytics so you can view more in-depth information about the users that visit your referral page. Whether you regularly track your website data with Google Analytics or have never registered for an account, learn all the basics for using Google Analytics with your Referral Rock account.
To get started using Google Analytics to track the progress of your Referral Program, locate and copy the Tracking ID provided by Google in your Google Analytics account. Add the Tracking ID into your Referral Rock account by following the below steps:
- Login to your Referral Rock account.
- Go to Settings > Branding > Advanced Site.
- Paste your Tracking ID in the text field provided under Google Analytics.
Using UTM Codes
Once the Tracking ID is added to your Referral Rock account, we will automatically attach standard UTM codes to further track the performance of your Referral Rock programs. All UTM codes are standard across the Referral Rock platform and cannot be edited with the exception of "Campaign". The Campaign tag is pulled from the "Program Name" and can be updated when the Program Name is changed.
It can take between 24-48 hours for tracking data to appear on your Analytics dashboard. Once you have Google Analytics set up and have begun tracking data, you can use Google's Real Time reporting to check your integration is working properly.
